Ween will release Boognish Provides on 16 October via Rhino, a 14-CD box set that revisits seven complete concerts from the tour behind Chocolate and Cheese. Rolling Stone

That is seven shows across two discs per night. The run starts small and spreads wide, from McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica on 9 October 1994 to the Metro in Chicago on 30 October 1994 and First Avenue in Minneapolis on 31 October 1994.

The set then picks up the following year. It includes the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia on 10 February 1995, Hof Ter Lo in Antwerp, Belgium on 27 March 1995, the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado on 20 May 1995, and the Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia on 16 June 1995.

The tour was a turning point in how the group played live. Aaron Freeman, who performs as Gene Ween, and Mickey Melchiondo, who performs as Dean Ween, appeared for the first time as a full band, joined by drummer Claude Coleman and bassist Andrew Weiss.

Ahead of the release, the group has shared a 24-minute live version of “Vallejo” recorded at the Athens show. It gives a clear sense of the scale of the box: long stretches of playing, with room for songs to open out on stage.

There will also be a shorter physical option. A two-record vinyl edition will collect 19 performances chosen from across the seven concerts, according to details reported by JamBase. The band’s official store lists the 14-CD set at $99.98 and the 2LP set at $39.98. Ween official store

For fans, this means a chance to compare nights directly. The same touring band moves from a guitar shop to a theatre to a club in Belgium, with the full setlists kept intact on CD.

The release arrives while Ween remain on hiatus, a break that has been in place since 2022.
