Troye Sivan sets Oct. 9 for She's the Best and talks bonds with women

Troye Sivan will release his fourth studio album, She's the Best, on Oct. 9. He discussed the record with Zane Lowe in New York for Apple Music, in a conversation detailed by Billboard on Sept. 30.
Sivan told Lowe he is happiest when existing in the orbit of a woman. He said women have given him a sense of safety and protection that he has not felt from men. The comments came as he explained the thinking behind an album built around those bonds.
The title says a lot. She's the Best puts those relationships at the centre of the record. Sivan presented the album as a reflection on closeness, care and the people who have shaped how he moves through the world.
The project features Charli xcx, Ian McKellen and Nicole Kidman. Those three names are attached to She's the Best as announced. How each person appears, whether in sound, on screen or in artwork, was not detailed in the reporting. Full tracklists and credits will need to come from the label or artist statement.
The single "Party" samples Madonna's 2000 hit "Music." A sample, in which part of an older recording is reused in a new song, is a standard tool in pop and dance music. The link is direct. It connects Sivan's new material to a dancefloor hit popularised more than two decades ago.
The full conversation is available as "Troye Sivan: The Zane Lowe Interview." Apple Music hosts the video, credits it to Sivan and Lowe, and lists it as Pop, released in 2026. The listing was published on Sept. 29.
Apple Music also carries a playlist under the same interview title. That older listing describes Sivan joining Lowe to talk about his album Something to Give Each Other, and sits in the catalogue as background to the new interview rather than as part of the She's the Best rollout.
For fans, this means the countdown is short. Oct. 9 brings a fourth album, a Madonna sample already in circulation, and more detail to come on how the three collaborators appear.
