PlayStation's October monthly games are F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. The lineup was reported on 30 September 2026. It gives Plus members three titles to add at no extra cost beyond the subscription.

F1 25 is listed for PS5. Hunt: Showdown 1896 is also listed for PS5. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is listed for both PS4 and PS5, so owners of the older console stay in the offer. All three will be available to claim from 6 October to 2 November, the claim window announced for the month, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

PlayStation Plus monthly games work in a simple way. Members add each game to their library during the claim window. They can then download and play while the subscription stays active. Miss the window and that month's offer closes.

There is still time on September's games. Members have until 5 October to claim Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life and Chained Echoes. That date, announced as the cut-off, is the last chance before the October set takes over.

The timing fits the usual pattern. Sony typically reveals the upcoming Essential lineup on the last Wednesday of the month, and 30 September 2026 is a Wednesday. The monthly games sit on all tiers of Plus, including Essential, the entry level of the subscription.

They are separate from the Game Catalogue for Extra and Premium members. Sony has already announced one October addition there, with Mycopunk due to launch straight into Plus Extra on its release date. That announcement, made on 21 September, covers the on-demand library rather than the claim-to-keep monthly offer.

For members, this means October leans on variety. Racing fans get the current F1 entry. Hunt brings tense online bounty hunting. World Brothers 2 offers squad-based action that runs across two generations of PlayStation hardware. Claim all three between 6 October and 2 November to keep them with an active subscription.
