Bon Iver to reissue '22, A Million' for 10th anniversary with new artwork

Bon Iver will reissue 22, A Million as a 10th Anniversary Edition on 20 November via Jagjaguwar Records. The plan was reported by Consequence, and the label’s own releases page also lists a Bon Iver 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, a deluxe edition being an expanded reissue with extra design or packaging.
The original album contains ten songs, according to the band’s catalogue page on its official site. That page has listed the ten-track sequence since August 2016. The anniversary tag points back to that period, a decade before the new edition arrives in November.
The new edition is being offered as an LP, a vinyl long-play record, through Bon Iver’s official store. The store carries the 22, A Million (10th Anniversary Edition) LP as a preorder item in its music collection, with the same listing appearing in its featured collection. A preorder means fans pay or reserve now and receive the record when it is manufactured and shipped.
The regular price is US$36.98, the store listing shows. That is the price before any local taxes or shipping charges a buyer may pay at checkout. The listing does not describe signed copies or bundled extras, only the anniversary LP itself.
Artwork is a large part of the story. ARTnews reports the deluxe edition will arrive with elaborate artwork, while Consequence reports that a CD edition, the compact-disc version, will feature new artwork. The two formats will not look identical. Collectors often buy across formats for that reason.
The visual identity dates to 2016. The cover and package for 22, A Million were designed by Eric Timothy Carlson, who collaborated with artist Crystal Quinn on the project, as described in an interview published by the Walker in October 2016. That interview walks through the symbols, altered type and layered numerals that gave the sleeve its dense, coded look. The Walker piece remains the fullest published account of how the original art was organised.
For fans, this means a familiar record returning as a new object to keep at home. No additional songs or guest appearances have been confirmed in the reports so far. The announcement focuses on packaging, format and availability rather than new music.
The November date gives shops time to take orders and press stock. The LP is already listed. The CD artwork is still to be seen.
