Dexter Morgan will be trapped between two killers when Dexter: Resurrection returns for season two on 30 Oct.

Paramount+ will launch the new season on its Premium Plan, with Michael C. Hall back as Dexter Morgan, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The streamer released a full Season 2 Official Trailer on YouTube to confirm the date.

The threat is double-sided. Brian Cox joins as The New York Ripper, a killer with decades of notoriety and a lifetime of kills behind him. Dan Stevens plays The Five Borough Killer, a fresh young face terrorising New York.

That clash drives the season logline. Dexter is caught between the two murderers while facing a mid-life crisis of his own. His son Harrison continues his own pursuit of justice alongside him.

Several familiar faces are back. Uma Thurman returns as Charley. Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington and James Remar round out the main ensemble.

There are new names too. Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson join as series regulars, meaning they are billed as main cast across the season. Krysten Ritter returns in a guest-starring role, meaning a shorter arc rather than a full-season run, with Gabriel Luna joining as a new guest star.

The series comes from Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios. Showrunner Clyde Phillips executive produces.

For fans, this means a crowded New York. One veteran predator. One new one. And Dexter stuck in the middle.
