Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 First-Look Photos Reveal New York Killer Showdown

Paramount+ has unveiled the first-look images from Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, and they bring Dexter Morgan face to face with a crowded field of fellow serial killers in New York City. The photos, published 28 July 2026, span the first six episodes of the new season and carry a single photo credit: Matt Infante for Paramount+ (Variety).
The official Season 2 logline places Dexter between two killers — one described as notorious, the other terrorising New York — while he also grapples with a mid-life crisis. Brian Cox, a new series regular this season, plays The New York Ripper. Dan Stevens, also a new series regular, takes on the role of The Five Borough Killer. Both casting announcements were confirmed by Paramount+ on 27 July 2026 (Paramount+ Sneak Peak).
The returning cast is stacked. Uma Thurman reprises Charley. Krysten Ritter is back as well, though her character name was not specified in the released materials. James Remar returns as Harry Morgan, Dexter's father, and Desmond Harrington plays Quinn. Harrison Morgan, Dexter's son — played by Jack Alcott — continues his own pursuit of justice this season.
New faces joining the cast include Bokeem Woodbine as Captain Mixon, Nona Parker Johnson as Fiona, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, and Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva. Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine is also in the Season 2 cast. Gabriel Luna guests as a character named Ray Ballard, described in the logline materials as The Sleepy-Eyed Stranger (Variety). Shavo Odadjian appears as R.H. Martin in episode 1.
Behind the camera, Clyde Phillips — who developed Dexter: Resurrection and was the original Dexter series showrunner — continues as showrunner and executive producer. Michael C. Hall executive produces in addition to starring as Dexter. The producing team also includes Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Veronica West, Kirsa Rein, and the writing duo Tanner Bean and Katrina Mathewson. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios.
Deadline also published the first-look photos on 28 July 2026 (Deadline).
No premiere date has been announced. Paramount+ has not yet placed the season on its release calendar.
For fans, the images confirm that the show's second season is deep into production — and that Dexter's New York chapter is pulling in one of the most recognisable ensemble casts the franchise has assembled. The addition of Cox and Stevens as series regulars, playing two distinct killers, signals a season built around confrontation rather than quiet hiding.
