Blizzard will leave a bugged Diablo 4 charm combination in place for the rest of Season 15. Design director Dan Tanguay confirmed the decision on 30 September 2026 on the game's official forums. Players who built characters around the extra power can keep using it until the season ends.

The item at the centre is the Hellfire Torch, a new Unique charm introduced this season. A charm is a piece of equipment that grants passive bonuses, and Unique marks it as a rare find with fixed, high-end effects. The Torch offers +All Skills, +All Stats and +All Resistances, and it also counts as an extra set charm that can help complete set bonuses, according to GameSpot.

Diablo 4 normally limits players to one Unique charm equipped at a time. The Hellfire Torch was meant to bend that rule, allowing one additional Unique charm alongside it. Instead, players found a way to run two extras for a total of three Unique charms at once.

The method starts with the Seal of the Golden Epiphany, another charm, paired with the Torch to slot three Uniques. Players then swap to the Mythic Seal of the Diamond Mind, a stronger version of a charm slot. The extra Unique charms stay equipped when they should fall off.

Tanguay said the current behaviour goes beyond what Blizzard originally intended. He said the team will let it stand this season because many players spent significant time earning the Torch and shaping builds around it. Removing that power now would undo that work.

Blizzard published the message as "Update on the Hellfire Torch Charm Interaction," forum thread 270499 on the official Diablo 4 forums, according to Blizzard. The studio said the Torch has created a lot of excitement among players this season. It said it will continue to investigate the interaction so any future change is implemented correctly.

Blizzard added that it is considering the Hellfire Torch for the future but has nothing to announce yet. A season, in live-service terms, is a limited-time update with fresh items and goals that later resets.

What makes this stand out is the certainty. Keep the three-charm build. No mid-season fix will break it.
