Landman Promotes Four to Series Regulars for Season 3

Landman has locked four returning actors into its main cast for Season 3. Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvor Menuez and Francesca Xuereb have all been promoted to series regulars, meaning they join the central credited cast rather than being booked episode by episode. The casting was reported by Deadline as production continues in Fort Worth, Texas.

They will be joined by Michael Kelly, who boards the drama as a new series regular for the third season. The series streams on Paramount+ and is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions. That line-up of studios remains in place for the new run.

For viewers who do not follow credits for a living, the change is simple. A series regular is typically contracted across a full season and listed in the main titles. A recurring player can appear often but sits outside that core group. Promotion usually brings more screen time and a longer thread in the story, though no episode counts have been disclosed.

Two of the four have been around the show since its early episodes. Feore plays Nate, Treasurer and Head of Exploration, while Speaks plays Boss, who runs the field crew, according to Deadline. Both men were previously billed as recurring stars alongside Jon Hamm. Xuereb plays Cheyenne, according to Yahoo Entertainment.

The wider ensemble gives a sense of where they fit. Billy Bob Thornton plays Tommy, Demi Moore plays Cami, Kayla Wallace plays Rebecca and James Jordan plays Dale. Those are the names on call sheets that most casual viewers will know first. That is a step up. The four newly promoted regulars now sit with them in the main company.

What makes this stand out for fans is continuity. A show that keeps its supporting players keeps its world intact. Expect to see more of Nate in the office, Boss in the field and Cheyenne at home, with the new season already in front of cameras in Texas.
