Rick Devens won Big Brother Season 28 and America's Favorite Houseguest in the same finale.

Devens beat Taylor Brown by a jury vote of 6-1 to take the title, with Drew Campbell finishing third, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The double win earned him $810,000 in total. The winner's prize is $750,000 and the runner-up prize is $75,000.

The final week came down to the last Head of Household competition, the weekly contest that decides who holds power in the house. Brown won part one. Devens then won parts two and three to become the final Head of Household. He evicted Campbell and took Brown with him to the final two.

The jury, the group of recently evicted houseguests who choose the winner, voted almost unanimously for Devens. The seven voters were LaTrice "Lala" Verrett, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Yash Patel, Melody Morris, Dee Valladares and Campbell. Only one jury vote went to Brown.

Devens is the first Survivor player to win Big Brother. He previously appeared on Survivor: Edge of Extinction and on Survivor Season 50. That crossover history made his path into the house unusual, as most Big Brother winners come up through this show alone.

The fan vote added a second trophy. America's Favorite Houseguest is decided by viewers in the United States. CBS launched the vote around Episode 36 of the season, which featured Big Brother 26 winner Chelsie and special guest James Gunn, according to CBS. The ballot included Angela, Ashley, Barrett, Chuk, Dee, Devens, Drew and Haley among its options.

Viewers also picked BB Awards during the season, a separate set of fan-chosen honours. CBS lists Episode 35 as S28 E35 dated 17 September 2026. The run-up to the finale kept the audience vote central to the closing episodes.

The result played out under constant observation. The Big Brother house is fitted with 112 HD cameras and 113 microphones, and records the houseguests' every move 24 hours a day, according to CBS.

What makes this stand out is the clean sweep. Devens won the final power contest, the jury and the public vote. Brown leaves as runner-up. Campbell leaves in third place after falling one contest short of the final two.
