Drake has officially released his remix of Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” with Don Toliver under the title “Solar Eclipse.” The version was confirmed on 2 October 2026 as part of an expanded album. Pitchfork

Habibti (FOMO) takes Drake’s album Habibti and adds four tracks first heard in his short film FOMO. It is the film material collected for commercial release in one place. The structure is simple. The original album stays, the new songs join it.

The four additions are “Quebec” and “Classic PT2.” The set also includes “Cold Shoulder,” a collaboration with Toliver and singer Yebba. The fourth is “Solar Eclipse.” All four were debuted in FOMO before moving to the album.

The Langley remix had been heard before it had a release. Drake previewed the take with Toliver, but as of 16 September it had not arrived on streaming services and no release date had been announced. Hits Daily Double The expanded edition changes that. A remix, in plain terms, builds new verses and production around an existing song.

It lands while the original is still at the centre of the United States singles chart. The Billboard Hot 100, the weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the US, lists “Choosin’ Texas” as the longest-running No. 1 hit in its history. The song has now spent a 24th week at the top. That number, not a label, is what broke the record.

The longer run adds context. The original had spent 47 total weeks on the Hot 100 by late September. Yahoo That count covers every week on the chart, not only weeks at No. 1.

The release continues a productive year for both rappers. Drake has released three albums in 2026: Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honor. Toliver released the album Octane in February. The two now meet again on two tracks on Habibti (FOMO), “Cold Shoulder” and “Solar Eclipse.”

Drake also used the FOMO premiere to look ahead. He told the audience he plans to go on tour next year. The comment came during the launch event for the film that supplied the new songs.

For listeners, this means the film songs now have a permanent home. What played once in FOMO plays on repeat on Habibti (FOMO). The story started on screen. It continues on the album.
