Fox drops four Baywatch teasers ahead of January reboot launch

Fox has released four new teaser promos for its Baywatch reboot, introducing the new lifeguard line-up ahead of a January premiere.

The spots land in pairs. One features Stephen Amell with Jessica Belkin. One features Hassie Harrison with Noah Beck. One features Shay Mitchell with Brooks Nader. One features Livvy Dunne with Thaddeus LaGrone, according to Deadline.

Amell stars as Hobie Buchannon, a Baywatch captain and the son of Mitch Buchannon. Belkin plays Charlie, the daughter Hobie never knew who wants to join Baywatch herself. That family tie sits at the centre of the new team.

The rest of the squad fills out fast. Mitchell plays Trina. Harrison plays Nat. Nader plays Selene. Beck plays Luke. LaGrone plays Brad.

There are familiar faces too. David Chokachi reprises his role as Cody Madison from the original series. Erika Eleniak will guest-star as Shauni McLain, Michael Bergin will guest-star as Jack J.D. Darius and Kelly Packard will guest-star as April Giminski. Mary McDonnell plays Gayle and John Beckwith plays Julian, while Dunne guest stars as Grace, a junior lifeguard.

The reboot, meaning a fresh version of the earlier series, is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle. Matt Nix serves as showrunner, meaning the writer-producer running the series day to day, and executive producer. McG directs the series premiere episode.

Fox plans to launch the show in January on its broadcast network, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
