CD Projekt Red says it is still fixing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, with more performance work, visual tweaks and console voiceover repairs planned for the next update.

The studio set out the short-term list in a statement reported on 6 October 2026, after a busy week of early patches for the new edition. Performance improvements, particularly on PlayStation 5, remain under examination. So do further visual adjustments and voiceover audio fixes on consoles. Eurogamer

The Remastered edition, released 29 September 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, was offered as a free upgrade to people who already owned The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It was announced 25 August 2026. The headline addition is cross-platform mod support, which lets player-made extras, from costumes to visual tweaks, run across consoles and PC rather than staying locked to one system.

The first repairs have already landed. Patch 5.00b, published 1 October 2026, made various lighting adjustments and restored DLSS in the Xbox Play Anywhere version on PC. DLSS, short for Deep Learning Super Sampling, is an Nvidia upscaling tool that lifts frame rates by rendering at a lower resolution and rebuilding the image.

Hotfix 5.00c, a smaller rapid repair also published 1 October 2026, is available for download for the Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Battle.net and Xbox Play Anywhere versions on PC. CD Projekt Red It fixed voiceover audio becoming much quieter than other sound after moving through pause-menu tabs. It also fixed a save fault where the game could not save or load if the Documents folder path contained special characters.

The Remastered edition rebuilt parts of the look. It uses an improved shading model, the system that controls how light falls on surfaces, with improved lighting and shading for grass and foliage. Many textures and models were updated using assets from The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project, a long-running fan effort to sharpen the game's art. The Witcher

CD Projekt Red said it aims to address many of the remaining issues in the next update. No date for that patch has been given.

The studio also said it is working with mod.io, a service that hosts and distributes player-made mods, to bring more mods to all platforms.

For players, this means the launch version is not the finished version. The early patches clear specific PC faults. The next round is pointed at console polish and frame-rate steadiness.
