Jeremy Clarkson wants to grow a car.

Not buy one. Not restore one. Grow one from his farm.

The former Top Gear host will star in Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson's Farm Special, a stand-alone episode for Prime Video, meaning it sits apart from the regular series run. The special was unveiled on 7 October 2026, according to Variety.

The premise is simple to explain and hard to do. Clarkson will attempt what is billed as a world first: growing and building a car using produce from his Diddly Squat Farm.

The starting point is mechanical. Clarkson will use the base of a Jaguar F-Type V6S for the project.

The rest comes from the fields and livestock. He plans to fit the car with a leather interior and wool carpets produced on his farm in Oxfordshire. He also intends to grow flax fibre and turn it into flax-composite, a farm-grown material to be used as an alternative to carbon fibre.

He will not work alone. Car designer Ian Callum will assist on the build. Callum designed the original Jaguar F-Type and the Aston Martin Vanquish, so he knows the base car well.

Behind the camera, the special will be produced by Expectation. Andy Wilman, Peter Fincham and Zoe Brewer will executive produce, meaning they oversee the creative direction and production.

The special extends a busy run for the farming series. Season 5 of Clarkson's Farm launched earlier in 2026. Clarkson has said he has already filmed Season 6.

For fans, this means a detour that joins his two public jobs. Farming provides the materials. Motoring provides the machine.
