Battlefield 6 leads first wave of Xbox Game Pass October additions

Battlefield 6 will join Xbox Game Pass on 13 October, headlining Microsoft's first batch of October additions.

Microsoft announced the line-up on 7 October, with nine games arriving between 8 October and 16 October, according to Eurogamer. The official post on Xbox Wire is titled "Coming to Xbox Game Pass: Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis, Forever Ago, and More" Xbox Wire.

Game Pass is Microsoft's subscription library, where members can download or stream included games for a monthly fee. Different tiers unlock different games. Most of this month's arrivals are for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.

Three games arrive first. All three join on 8 October.

Echo Weaver comes to Cloud, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Forever Ago comes to Cloud, Console and PC. Neon Abyss 2 comes to Cloud, Xbox Series X/S and PC, and is the only one of the three also included for Game Pass Premium members.

Three more follow, joining on 13 October. Battlefield 6 arrives on Cloud, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Deep Dish Dungeon lands on the same platforms on the same day. Valor Mortis also joins that day on Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, Handheld and PC. All three are listed for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The final stretch adds three more titles. Bluey's Happy Snaps joins on 15 October on Cloud, Console, Handheld and PC. Chained Beasts joins on 15 October on Cloud, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Beyond These Stars closes the wave, joining on 16 October on PC. All three are for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Nine games will leave the service on 15 October. The departures are Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview) on PC, Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone.

For subscribers, this means a busy fortnight. Finish or buy anything on the leaving list before 15 October if you want to keep playing. Then clear space for what comes next.
