Charlie Cox Salutes Save Daredevil Fans as Born Again Heads to Final Season

Charlie Cox thanked the fans who once saved Daredevil — and joked they might have to do it again.
The actor shouted out the people behind the “Save Daredevil” campaign during the Daredevil: Born Again panel at New York Comic Con. He was on stage with his co-stars to tease the show’s third and final season on Disney+, Deadline reported.
Filming on Season 3 has wrapped. The final run is set for a 2027 premiere.
Addressing the decision to end the revival after three seasons, Cox told the room: “Listen, you don’t want to invite the wrath of the ‘Save Daredevil’ people!” He added that he imagines the campaign will be gearing up for round two.
The original campaign began in 2018 after Netflix cancelled Daredevil after three seasons. The character was later revived as Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+, with Cox back as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who fights crime at night as the vigilante Daredevil. The revival premiered on Disney+ on 4 March 2025.
Cox was joined at the convention by Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays crime boss Wilson Fisk, alongside Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.
Season 3 will also bring back familiar faces from Marvel’s New York street-level shows. Krysten Ritter returns as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist.
The final season continues the story of Matt Murdock battling for the soul of Hell’s Kitchen, the Manhattan neighbourhood where the series is set, according to Marvel.
For fans, this means a proper goodbye is on the way. The cast came to New York to mark the end of the road, not to leave it open. And Cox made clear he knows who helped keep the story alive the first time.
