Robby Hoffman Sets Second Netflix Special for 2027

Robby Hoffman is returning to Netflix with another stand-up special set to premiere in 2027.
The commission was reported by Variety on 9 October 2026. The show will be Hoffman’s second hour for Netflix, an hour being industry shorthand for a full-length special of about 60 minutes. A special of that kind is usually filmed before a live theatre crowd and then released to stream in full. Netflix commissions such hours directly for its subscribers worldwide. Rotten Science will produce the new special, according to the same report, with a producer overseeing the practical work from budget to crew to delivery.
The booking follows Hoffman’s first hour for the streamer. That debut was titled “Robby Hoffman: Wake Up” and was released on Netflix in 2025. It was directed by comedian John Mulaney, who shaped the taping from stage to screen. It premiered globally on 14 December, Deadline reported in November 2025.
Hoffman later discussed “Wake Up” on “CBS Saturday Morning”, the weekend news and talk programme, according to CBS. The interview put the special in front of a broadcast audience as well as Netflix viewers. Such appearances typically run for a few minutes and focus on a new release. It also gave casual viewers a first introduction to Hoffman’s stage work.
Many television viewers know Hoffman from HBO’s “Hacks”. HBO is the US premium cable and streaming brand behind the series. She starred across the last two seasons of the comedy about working comics, a run that means a sustained role rather than a one-off visit. Her performance was recognised with an Emmy nomination for outstanding guest actress in a comedy series, the category for performers in limited or recurring roles rather than series regulars. The Emmys are US television’s annual awards for programmes and performances.
As of October 2026, the 2025 special is already available to stream. The new special is dated for the following calendar year. That schedule gives Netflix two Hoffman hours within three calendar years.
What makes this stand out is the pace. One Netflix hour arrived in 2025. The next is already dated for 2027. That keeps Hoffman’s stage work in regular rotation for anyone who came to her through streaming.
For fans, this means the wait is short. The gap between the two hours is two years. And the next set will arrive with the same streamer behind it. There is no need to search for a new home or a new date.
