Cole Palmer has signed a new Chelsea contract that runs until 2034.

The club confirmed the agreement on 10 October, with Palmer earning improved terms on his previous deal, according to BBC Sport. Chelsea's official news page also lists a Men's Team article titled 'Cole Palmer signs new Chelsea contract!'.

Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 for £42.5m. He was already tied down until 2033 after signing a two-year extension in August 2024. This latest deal adds a further year.

He has started this season fast. Seven matches have brought four goals and two assists. No Chelsea player has played more minutes.

That club form follows a quiet international summer. Palmer was omitted from England's World Cup squad. He has responded by becoming Chelsea's first name on the teamsheet again.

Chelsea are locking down their core. Joao Pedro, a Brazil international who arrived in July 2025, signed his own deal until 2034 in August. Winger Geovany Quenda, whose move from Sporting was first confirmed in March 2025 before he completed the switch in the summer, is tied to the same date.

Outside west London, only Manchester City striker Erling Haaland matches that 2034 commitment. Closer to home, Pedro Neto signed a new six-year contract in September. Chelsea also broke their club record this summer to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for £117m.

For fans, this means more of the same. Palmer wants the ball when the game goes tight. He takes the penalty. He shapes the free-kick. That appetite for the big moment is why the new contract matters beyond the paperwork.
