Troye Sivan's "She's the Best" has won Billboard's weekly poll for fans' favourite new music, taking 56% of the vote. Billboard confirmed the result on Oct. 11, after voting closed on Sunday.

Billboard had opened voting on Friday, Oct. 9, with a shortlist of songs released that week. The poll is a straight online fan vote. Readers pick one track from the week's options, and the song with the largest share wins.

That format is different from Billboard's main charts. The Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 are compiled from measured use, including sales, streams and radio play. The weekly new music poll records something narrower: what the readers who chose to vote were backing in that three-day window.

The margin was wide. More than one in every two votes went to Sivan. No other song came close to that share.

Cardi B's "Don't Chart" finished second with 9% of the vote. Slayyyter's "I Think He's Got a Girl" was third with 7%, according to the same results announcement.

The rest of the ballot included new releases from Ez Mil with Eminem, Pitbull and Remi Wolf. That week's poll edition was headlined by Cardi B, Eminem, Troye Sivan and Slayyyter when voting opened, Billboard reported on Oct. 9.

In practice, that meant voters were choosing across pop, hip-hop and dance releases in one list. Sivan's 56% left the remaining six percentage points of the top three's combined total to be split, with the rest of the field sharing what was left. Percentages in the poll reflect only votes cast before the Sunday deadline. They are not sales totals and do not feed into chart points.

What makes this stand out is how decisive the preference was. A 47-point gap separates first place from second. For a weekly poll that usually divides attention across several well-known names, that is a clear split.

For fans, this means one release pulled away early and stayed there. The result does not change sales, streams or future chart positions. It is a snapshot of reader choice for that release week, counted Friday to Sunday and published the following weekend.

Billboard publishes the poll each Friday alongside its round-up of new music. Voting then stays open through Sunday before the outlet names the winner. This week's winner was Sivan, with Cardi B second and Slayyyter third.
