Summer's Camp Romance has finished filming and will be offered to international buyers at MIPCOM. The TV movie, meaning a feature made to premiere on television or streaming rather than in cinemas, was reported as wrapped by Deadline on 12 October 2026.

It is the second collaboration between Precious Metal Productions and Good Soldier Films. The pair previously made Bee My Love, a culinary-themed romance released in 2025. That title was the inaugural production from Precious Metal, the Canadian film company founded by filmmakers Christopher Giroux and Ann Pirvu. Giroux, a producer-director, works alongside Pirvu, an actress-producer, as the company's partners.

Precious Metal describes itself online as a Canadian film company run by Giroux and Pirvu. Its official site lists Bee My Love as its debut spring romance.

Ann Pirvu and Stephen Huszar lead the cast. Kat Barrell, Kristin Booth, Stefan Brogren and Andrew Phung make special appearances, which in television usually means a short, credited turn by a known face. The wider supporting cast includes Romaine Waite, Rob Stewart, Mikayla SwamiNathan, Brigitte Kingsley and Vera Deodato, as listed by Deadline.

The story follows an advertising executive who teams up with a former star athlete. The two enter camp-inspired challenges with one goal: a spot at Camp Falcon Ridge. That contest sits at the centre of the film.

Pirvu co-wrote the screenplay with Giroux. Giroux also directed. The producing line-up is Brigitte Kingsley and Andrew Cymek alongside Pirvu, Giroux and Huszar. Giroux is a former Vortex Media executive, with a background across production and distribution.

Sales are being handled by Kingsley through Defiant Empire Distribution. The outfit is her joint Canadian distribution company with Cymek, meaning it licenses finished titles to buyers in different countries and on different platforms. Launching at MIPCOM, the market where sellers line up broadcast, streaming and licensing deals, gives the film its first formal shop window for the buying season.

There is more moving behind this one title. Pirvu and Giroux unveiled a multi-picture feature slate with Black Fawn Distribution during TIFF 2026. The slate, meaning a group of films planned or packaged together, points to further work beyond romance television. Separately, Kingsley and Cymek recently wrapped back-to-back Christmas movies and the feature Shore of Secrets, which stars Ryan Pavey, Kingsley and Eric Peterson.

For fans, this means a familiar face count and a new setting. Camp challenges replace the kitchen as the favourite backdrop. The ensemble stays large.
