Marvel's VisionQuest hits Disney+ on Oct. 14 with Bettany and Spader

Marvel's VisionQuest lands on Disney+ on Wednesday, Oct. 14.
The drama series is a Marvel Television production created by Terry Matalas, with Paul Bettany returning as Vision, the synthetic, human-like hero known as a synthezoid. It is described as a follow-up to WandaVision, which makes it a spinoff from a spinoff in Marvel's Disney+ line, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
That history matters for new viewers. Bettany's Vision was introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron, the same film where James Spader first played the robot villain Ultron. In VisionQuest, Spader returns as Ultron, billed as Bettany's on-screen father figure, according to Marvel.
The new story starts small. Vision has been laying low in Edinburgh, passing as an ordinary human bartender. He is pulled back into motion when he meets Thomas, played by Ruaridh Mollica.
Thomas is 18 and working as a grifter. He is also the reincarnation of Vision's super-speedster son with Wanda. Vision goes on the run with him. That road pairing drives the season.
The cast around them is wide. Alongside Bettany, Spader and Mollica, the line-up includes T'Nia Miller, Todd Stashwick, James D'Arcy, Emily Hampshire, Orla Bradley, Lauren Morais, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Diane Morgan. Stashwick plays Paladin, an elite assassin. Mary McDonnell also joined the Marvel Vision series last year, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Behind the camera, Marvel enlisted composer Mick Giacchino for the series. The rollout has followed the usual event calendar. Marvel presented the trailer at D23 in August 2026, organised a first-episode screening at New York Comic Con, and released a studio discussion with Bettany, Spader, Mollica and Matalas on Oct. 9.
For fans, this means a short wait. The full series streams on Disney+ from Oct. 14, 2026. Start with WandaVision if the family tree feels tangled. Then pick up with a Vision pouring pints and trying not to be noticed.
