X Premium, Grok and Cursor Combined in One Subscription

SpaceX Super Intelligence has folded X Premium, Grok and Cursor into a single bundle called The X Subscription. Details published on Oct. 13 describe one plan that covers social premium features, conversational AI and AI coding rather than three separate subscriptions. TechCrunch
The structure has five tiers. Free sits at the base, followed by Plus at $8 per month, Premium at $30 per month, Super at $100 per month and Ultra at $200 per month. AI usage caps rise with each tier.
Functionally, the bundle spans three uses. Grok provides AI chat with support for voice, images and video, plus API access, which lets outside software call the model directly. It includes the Grok agentic Bot, software that can carry out multi-step tasks on its own. It includes Cursor for AI-assisted coding inside the code editor. It also includes X Premium features, including the blue verified checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads.
Access is gated by tier. The free plan offers only limited chat and agent use. Premium or higher is required for the latest Grok models. For existing X Premium+ subscribers, the comparable new plan costs the same or less.
Under the bundle, Grok and Cursor draw from one shared weekly usage pool. Cursor help Chat messages, agent runs and editor completions all count against the same allowance instead of being measured separately. Users who split time between quick prompts and longer coding sessions will need to track use across both tools.
Migration is opt-in for now. Existing users can switch to the new bundle in subscription settings on X or stay on their current plan. The upgrade option will roll out gradually through billing settings. A Cursor subscription and a SuperGrok or X Premium+ subscription can also stay active and bill separately, with buying one not canceling the other. Cursor help
Bot packaging has changed through the summer. Grok Bot launched in beta for Cursor Teams Standard and Premium subscribers on desktop and iOS. xAI By late August availability had widened to SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and all Cursor Teams plans. xAI Current documentation states every paid individual Cursor plan is eligible for Grok Bot. xAI docs Self-serve Cursor plans include generous use of Grok models but no allowance for third-party models, though third-party models remain available in Cursor. Tokens are the small chunks of text a model reads and writes. Listed API pricing for Grok 4.5 is $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens.

The broader context here is consolidation of inference demand, the computing capacity needed to run models for users. Standalone chat subscriptions, coding assistants and social distribution each charge for that computing differently. Combining them lets one provider manage routing, caching and capacity across interactive chat, long-running agents and fast code completion. It also simplifies payment for individual developers who paid twice before.
In my view, the interesting test is not the $200 ceiling. It is whether shared quotas change behavior. Developers are skilled at comparing rate limits, model choice and API use against seat pricing. A weekly pool across Grok and Cursor invites direct comparison of where a token delivers more value. If limits are clear and the latest models stay reliably available at Premium and above, heavy users may consolidate. If agent loops burn through the pool unpredictably, they will keep separate API billing as a backup.
