Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, carried out three charity engagements in Nottingham on 15 October 2026, their first joint outing since 2020, according to HELLO!.

The day was a run of community visits. The couple started at the Community Recording Studio. They then went to Himmah Hub, a food poverty community action group, and to Epic Partners.

The crowds were largest at the start. About 150 people gathered outside the Community Recording Studio, with about 50 people at each of the later stops.

Harry was asked how it felt to be back. “Great!” he answered, giving a thumbs up. Moments before the couple arrived at Himmah Hub, a staff member asked the waiting crowd to give a “big cheer for Harry and Meghan”. Asked outside that venue if she was happy to be back, Meghan answered: “Yes, of course.”

She also told people there: “It’s great to be back,” as reported by People. The couple posed for multiple selfies with residents during the day. At one point Meghan kissed a well-wisher.

Not every wait ended with a meeting. The crowd outside Himmah Hub waited for an hour and a half. Harry and Meghan left by the back entrance. Inside Epic Partners, Harry picked up a cue for a game of pool. Meghan did not join in.

There is history here. Nottingham was where Harry and Meghan made their first joint appearance after announcing their engagement, as noted by the BBC. They had previously visited the city together in 2017. Their return to Britain ahead of this appearance was described as a surprise by Reuters.

The couple’s office titled its own account of the day ‘A Day in Nottingham: It’s Great to Be Back’. The post says the Duke and Duchess spent the day “reconnecting with the community they have long supported”. Meghan’s outfit for the day included a nod to her first public appearance with Harry.

What makes this stand out is the choice of city. For fans, this means familiar streets, familiar charities, and plenty of close-up moments. The cheers were loud. The schedule was tight.
