The Yellowjackets have been found, and the cameras are waiting.

The drama series is promoting its fourth and final season with a mock MTV News bulletin, meaning no further seasons are planned after this one. The on-screen headline reads: "After 19 months, the Wiskayok High Yellowjackets have been FOUND and rescued," as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It is a short teaser with a big reveal: the long-missing school team is coming home.

The bulletin is presented by Serena Altschul, the former MTV News anchor. Her presence gives the clip the brisk feel of a music-television news flash, built for fans who remember tuning in for headlines between videos. The teaser shows the players returning to fame and celebration. Crowds gather outside MTV's TRL Studios, the home of the channel's live request show, to greet them.

Music runs through the homecoming. The clip recreates a moment with singer Alanis Morissette, who dedicates her MTV Unplugged rendition of "Ironic" to the rescued girls. MTV Unplugged is the series known for stripped-back live performances, usually with small crowds and acoustic arrangements. Morissette presents the team as a "symbol of hope."

For fans, this means a missing chapter is finally opening up. Season four will portray a long-anticipated third timeline, meaning a third separate strand of the story set in a different period. This strand covers the rescue itself and the teenagers' reassimilation into society, or the slow process of returning to school, family and ordinary life after months away. It moves the story beyond being lost to being found.

That return has a clear destination. The show's TikTok teaser states the rescued team will travel home to New Jersey. Home is where the next part of the story sits, amid attention and applause. Rescue ends the time away, and return starts something new.

The final chapter comes from co-showrunners Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson and Jonathan Lisco. A co-showrunner is a joint head writer and boss of the production, guiding scripts from first draft to final edit. The three will now steer the rescue story to a close, and finish the tale of a team that vanished for 19 months and lived to tell it.
