Drake has taken the outright lead for the most No. 1s on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, as HABIBTI moves to No. 1 on the list dated 17 October 2026. It is his 18th chart-topper. That breaks the tie. Billboard

The album jumped from No. 35 to No. 1 after the HABIBTI (FOMO) deluxe edition arrived on 2 October with four extra tracks. The additions are "Solar Eclipse" with Don Toliver, "Quebec", "Cold Shoulder" with Don Toliver and Yebba, and "Classic Pt 2". In the tracking week of 2-8 October, organised by Luminate, HABIBTI earned 71,000 equivalent album units, the measure that converts plays into album sales, in the United States, up 506% on the week before, according to Billboard.

HABIBTI was first released on 15 May and entered the chart at No. 2 behind Drake's own ICEMAN. It now replaces ICEMAN at No. 1. Billboard said it is the first self-replacement at the top since Future and Metro Boomin's We Still Don't Trust You replaced We Don't Trust You in May 2024.

The deluxe has also reshaped the weekly singles rankings. "Solar Eclipse" gives Drake his 33rd No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, extending his record on that chart, and gives Don Toliver his first No. 1 there. The song also started at No. 1 on Hot R&B Songs, Drake's 10th leader there and Toliver's first. "Quebec" started at No. 1 on Hot Rap Songs, Drake's 33rd leader on that list.

The history adds weight. The Temptations held or shared the record for the most No. 1s on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums since July 1966. The chart itself launched in January 1965. Future joined the tie in July 2026, when The Real Me started at No. 1 and pushed Drake from the top, before Drake moved clear again. Forbes

What makes this stand out is the concentration at the top. Billboard's current listing has HABIBTI at No. 1, Mac Miller's The Divine Feminine at No. 2 and ICEMAN at No. 3, so Drake holds two of the top three places and extends his catalogue of chart-toppers. Billboard For listeners checking the chart, the practical result is two Drake titles inside the top three. "Solar Eclipse" also interpolates music by Ella Langley. Billboard

The new chart was published on 13 October.
