God of War Laufey Collector Box costs US$149.99, game sold separately

Sony has revealed a Collector Box for God of War Laufey. It does not include a copy of the game.
The box costs US$149.99 / €149.99 / £129.99, according to Video Games Chronicle. It is available for pre-order through the PlayStation Direct store. It is set for release on 16 February 2027, the same day as the game.
The centrepiece is an eight-inch light-up resin statue of Faye. It shows her in a fight against the soldiers of Begtse, alongside her cube companion Phranque and her enchanted ribbon guardian Rue. Phranque lights up when the statue is plugged into a USB power source.
The box also holds a 51-card Oracle Deck with custom illustrations by artist Megan Lara. There is a physical mini artbook too, with concept art hand-selected by the art team at Santa Monica Studio.
The game itself is sold separately. Buyers will choose between a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition, a version with extra digital extras. The Standard Edition for PlayStation 5 is listed at US$69.99 on PlayStation.
Laufey is the first mainline God of War title to star a protagonist other than Kratos. Players take the role of Faye, known as Laufey the Just, the Norse wife of Kratos and mother of Atreus. Sony gave a first look at the game on 2 June 2026 and opened it for wishlisting on the PlayStation Store.
Pre-orders for the game began on 29 September, after an editions announcement on 28 September 2026. Pre-ordering any edition unlocks the Last Wish Armor Set, an in-game outfit, and includes an in-game resource pack.
What makes this stand out is the arithmetic for collectors. The box covers the shelf. The game covers the story. Fans who want both will pay for both.
