PlayStation Plus adds Mafia: The Old Country and Tales of Arise for October

PlayStation has put Mafia: The Old Country at the top of October's PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup. The date to note is 20 October. That is when the month's arrivals go live, unless otherwise stated.
The Game Catalog is the on-demand library included with Extra and Premium, the two higher tiers of PlayStation's subscription service. PlayStation has confirmed seven new additions for those members this month, with two further additions reserved for Premium members only, according to Video Games Chronicle. The announcement was published on 14 October.
Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition is the other headline name for October. It joins Mafia: The Old Country in a month that leans heavily on story-led games. Both titles will be available to Extra and Premium subscribers from 20 October.
Horizon Forbidden West is also coming back to the Game Catalog in October. The open-world adventure was removed from the service in 2024. Its return gives subscribers who missed it first time another way in without buying it outright.
Lower down the list, Mycopunk for PS5 is included in October's lineup. So is Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, which will be available for both PS5 and PS4. The mix covers new releases alongside returning catalogue titles.
For Premium members, there is one more addition with longer history. Dino Crisis 2, originally released for the first PlayStation, will join the Classics Catalog. That is the separate Premium-only library of older games, presented largely as first released.
For subscribers, this means a busy download queue next week. Seven games for Extra and Premium, plus two extras for Premium, is a full monthly drop by recent standards. The full list lands on 20 October.
