Apple TV Renews Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed for Season 2

Apple TV has renewed Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed for a second season, extending the run of its dark comedy thriller starring Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson.
The renewal was reported by Deadline on 14 October 2026. Work is already moving. A writers' room for Season 2 is underway, and production is slated for the first half of 2027.
The series centres on Paula, played by Maslany, a newly divorced mother. Maslany is an Emmy Award winner, and Johnson stars opposite her. The show mixes crime tension with black comedy.
Season 1 premiered on Apple TV on 20 May 2026, according to Apple. New episodes then arrived every Wednesday through 15 July. Apple had previewed the series with a first-look teaser that April.
Behind the camera, the series hails from Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios. David J. Rosen is its creator, writer, showrunner — meaning the person who oversees the writing and day-to-day running of the show — and executive producer.
David Gordon Green served as director and executive producer. Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon developed and executive produced the series for Genre Films, with Bard Dorros executive producing for Anonymous Content.
The ensemble around Maslany and Johnson includes Murray Bartlett, Dolly De Leon, Brandon Flynn, Jessy Hodges, Jon Michael Hill, Charlie Hall, Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg and Nola Wallace.
For viewers, this means Paula's story is not finished. The writers are at work now, with cameras expected to follow next year. No premiere date for Season 2 has been announced.
