South Park released Season 29 episode 3, “You Like That On Your Face,” on Oct. 14, sending Ike into a live-streamed school aura battle and the gang into a Sephora backroom.

The episode centres on Kyle trying to help his younger brother Ike win that battle against a rival student named Chad. Aura battles, in the show’s telling, are playground contests where kids pose, posture and trade slang to look cool on camera. Cartman volunteers as Ike’s coach.

Cartman takes Ike to a local Sephora overrun by South Park kids to stock up on products, according to Variety. The trip goes wrong. The group gets stuck in the store’s “Backroom,” a maze-like storage space depicted to look like the setting of Kane Parsons’ horror project.

Stan was already in there. He had wandered into the backrooms earlier in the episode and ends up getting Cartman and Ike out in time for the contest. A separate strand follows Stan’s dad, Randy, who shrinks himself using product from Sephora.

The dialogue is packed with internet slang. Characters throw around “mogging,” “maxxing,” “mewing,” “chad,” “cringe” and “rizz” — all terms drawn from looks and dating chatter online, used here as battle patter.

For viewers keeping track, this one is Trump-less. That is a shift in emphasis after a politically loaded run, with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone instead keeping the gag that the mountain town is now called South America.

The season opened with Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny developing a love of e-bikes. Episode 2 followed Butters as he tried to rid South America of “billionaire weenies,” shown as literal penises, whose data centres were draining electricity. That episode also touched on anti-vaxxers, with Butters’ parents blaming his anti-billionaire and AI beliefs on the measles vaccine he received.

The long-running animated series, centred on Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, is a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning programme, according to South Park Studios. Season 29 premiered Sept. 16 at 10pm ET/PT on Comedy Central, according to a South Park on Facebook post, with further new episodes listed for Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28 and Nov. 11. The episode itself is listed with an Oct. 14, 2026 release date by Rotten Tomatoes.

Viewing is holding. The Season 29 premiere drew 4.2 million viewers in three days, according to Variety. Uncensored, full episodes are made available through South Park Studios.
