Coniglio Palm Beach, the Florida label known for colourful prints and free-size resortwear, is planning more shops, a push into international markets and a wider product range.

The plan caps three years of fast growth. Founder Christina Coniglio, a Palm Beach native and Savannah College of Art and Design graduate, started the business in 2023 after working as senior design director at LoveShackFancy in New York City, according to WWD.

It started small. The first shop was a 400-square-foot space opened in 2023. It now trades from a 2,000-square-foot flagship on Royal Poinciana Way in Palm Beach, plus a 600-square-foot seasonal store in East Hampton, N.Y., and an off-site studio on Antique Row in West Palm Beach. The team stands at 12 people.

The clothes centre on adjustable fit. Resortwear, the lightweight clothing sold between the main spring and autumn seasons, is the core. The first product was the Ruffle Power Pareo, a wraparound cloth that can be worn as a pareo or a skirt. The two best sellers are the Banyan pant and the Move and Groove pant, both adjustable.

For shoppers, the idea is simple. One size stretches to fit different bodies. Kidswear and home goods sit beside the women's range, including bedding, napkins, tablecloths, runners and place mats.

Backing came early. Investors Andrew Rosen and Stacey Bendet, the founder of Alice + Olivia, the fashion label, joined eight months after launch. Coniglio Palm Beach uses Rosen's facilities for finance, logistics, human resources and fulfilment. Day-to-day leadership is split, with president Cara Chen based in New York and Coniglio headquartered in Palm Beach.

The label has also linked with Bendet's brand on product. Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet and Coniglio Palm Beach partnered on an exclusive capsule collection, a small limited range, reported in June, according to WWD.

Another Palm Beach-area opening is in the pipeline. Christina Coniglio Palm Beach is listed as an incoming retailer at Caroline Station in West Palm Beach, just outside the former food hall, according to the Palm Beach Post.
