007 First Light sets March 18, 2027 release for Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo Switch 2 players finally have a date for Bond. IO Interactive has scheduled the Switch 2 version of 007 First Light for release on March 18, 2027.
The Danish organisation confirmed the date on October 14, 2026, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Pre-orders for the Switch 2 version are open now. IO Interactive
The road to this date has been long. The game was originally scheduled for release on all formats on March 27, 2026. It launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 27, 2026, while the Switch 2 edition slipped first to the third quarter of 2026 and then to March 2027. Video Games Chronicle
That final shift was the third delay for the Switch 2 version. IO Interactive said in September 2026 that it "had no choice" but to move the launch again, without framing the delay as anything more than a production call.
Switch 2 buyers will have two options at launch. IO Interactive has confirmed a Deluxe Edition for Switch 2 priced at US$69.99 / €69.99 / £69.99.
The Deluxe Edition adds extra kit for the mission. It includes four gadgets — the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun and Gleaming Pen — plus four outfits: Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator.
Pre-ordering the Switch 2 version unlocks early access to a GoldenEye suit, a nod to Bond's long history in games. The studio is also supporting the wider game with free material, with its Extended Operations DLC out now, Valhalla Protocol missions playable now and a Photo Mode, a tool for taking staged in-game pictures, now available.
For fans, this means a near ten-month wait is over. Switch 2 players arrive after the other versions, but with the extras, bonus suit and updates already in place.
