Weezer will receive the Legend of Live award at the 2026 Billboard Live Music Summit on Nov. 10. The presentation will take place at the 1 Hotel West Hollywood. Billboard announced the honour on Oct. 15. Billboard
The band will also appear in conversation with Jason Lipshutz during the Nov. 10 event. Lipshutz is Billboard's co-chief content officer. The discussion is listed as part of the summit programme, a straightforward interview in front of an industry audience.
This year's edition is Presented by VENU. That presenting credit applies across the summit. Tickets for the event are officially on sale.
The Legend of Live award recognises artists who have made lasting, significant contributions to live music and concert touring. In plain terms, it honours road work. It is about years of shows and tours, and the business of putting bands in front of crowds night after night, from routing and staging to staffing and ticket sales.
That history is reflected in the earlier names on the honour. Past recipients include Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, Rush, Journey, George Strait, John Mayer and Usher. The list spans pop, rock, country and R&B. It points to touring strength rather than one genre or era.
The summit itself is a trade meeting for the concerts business. It brings together senior executives, artists and innovators from across live entertainment. Panels and networking sessions make up the core of the schedule, aimed at the people who plan, promote, book and stage shows as well as the artists who headline them.
Hilary Duff is also confirmed for this year's summit. She is set for an award and Q&A. Her appearance was announced in September. Billboard
For fans, this means a chance to hear a touring story told off stage rather than on it. The conversation format puts the focus on decisions. How tours are built, sustained and carried from city to city, and what it takes to keep them on the road.
