Daniel Henney has joined the cast of Disavowed, Apple TV's upcoming action thriller led by James Marsden. Variety reported the casting on 15 October 2026.

Henney will play Jae Chun, a successful attorney to high-profile figures. It places a courtroom insider in the middle of a manhunt story.

The series centres on Brad Griffin, played by Marsden. Griffin is a legendary CIA case officer, meaning an officer who recruits and runs agents abroad, who is abruptly fired during a global hunt for an elusive assassin.

He keeps hunting anyway. A US$15 million federal bounty sits on the assassin's head, which draws in rival pursuers and forces Griffin to work outside the agency that cut him loose, according to the series logline.

Marsden stars as Griffin and also serves as an executive producer, meaning part of the senior team guiding creative and business decisions. Norman Reedus and Bokeem Woodbine are also in the cast.

Disavowed was created by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, who act as executive producers. Tom Spezialy joins them and Marsden in that role, while Blue Marble Pictures produces with Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity as executive producers. Apple Studios will produce the series.

Henney arrives with a strong genre record. He starred as Lan Mandragoran opposite Rosamund Pike in Prime Video's The Wheel of Time. He also voiced Tadashi Hamada in Disney's animated film Big Hero 6.

For fans, this means the ensemble is filling out. Apple TV first announced it had landed Disavowed as a new thriller starring Marsden in May, in a statement from Apple TV. Marsden is an Emmy and Golden Globe nominee.

No release date has been announced. Production details, including episode count and premiere window, are still to come.
