Staff at a Nottingham charity told waiting fans to cheer loudly moments before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out to meet them.

The message was direct. “Make sure you cheer very loudly when they come out,” the crowd was told. They could even call out “Meghan, I love you.”

The moment was spotted by Hello Magazine’s Online Royal Correspondent Eleanor Dye, who was on the ground in Nottingham for the visit on Thursday, Oct. 15. Hello Magazine She described it on the magazine’s A Right Royal Podcast with Royal Editor Emily Nash and Editorial Director Andrea Caamano.

Hello Magazine reports that the people giving the instruction worked for the charity hosting the couple’s second stop of the day. They were not staff connected to Harry and Meghan.

That second stop was the Himmah Hub Food Poverty Community Group, a food charity based in a former Methodist church. About 50 well-wishers cheered the couple’s arrival there, according to live coverage of the day. Mirror

The Nottingham trip packed in three visits. Harry and Meghan started at the Community Recording Studio in St Ann’s, moved on to Himmah Hub, then visited Epic Partners, a youth charity. Their stop at Epic Partners took place on Oct. 15, 2026. People

Nottingham holds a special place in their story. The city hosted their first official engagement together as a couple back in 2017. Thousands of people turned out to greet them that day. NewsNation

What makes this stand out is how normal it is. Big arrivals need a warm welcome. Sometimes someone just has to ask for it.
