Slow Horses Season 7 Adds Five New Cast Members
Slow Horses has added five actors to its seventh season.
Varada Sethu, Tuppence Middleton, Merab Ninidze, Joshua McGuire and Ethan Moorhouse have joined the Apple TV spy drama, as reported by Deadline. The casting was revealed on 19 October 2026.
James Callis will also be back. He returns as Claude Whelan alongside Gary Oldman, who stars as Jackson Lamb. No character details have been confirmed for the five newcomers.
Viewers may recognise two of the new names. Sethu has appeared in Doctor Who, while McGuire has appeared in The Gentlemen, according to RadioTimes. Middleton, Ninidze and Moorhouse complete the new group.
Season 7 will adapt Bad Actors. It is the next book in Mick Herron's Slough House series, the set of spy novels behind the show. That book series has won the CWA Gold Dagger Award, a leading prize for crime writing.
Ben Vanstone has adapted the book for television and serves as executive producer, meaning he oversees the creative direction of the season. Robert McKillop is set to direct. The series is produced for Apple TV by See-Saw Films.
Apple confirmed the seventh season in July 2025, according to Apple. The company describes Slow Horses as an Emmy and BAFTA award-winning spy drama.
For fans, this means the next chapter is taking shape. The core team is staying in place. New faces are coming into the story. Production details, including a release date, have not yet been announced.
