The Hunting Wives lands season two trailer and early season three renewal

The Hunting Wives has secured a third season before its second has even started. Netflix has released the full trailer for season two. All eight episodes will arrive on the platform on Nov. 26, The Hollywood Reporter reported on Oct. 20.
That is an early renewal, meaning the next season was ordered before the new episodes have aired. It gives the writers' room extra time to plan. It also means the story continues beyond November.
The series centres on Sophie, played by Brittany Snow, and Margo, played by Malin Akerman. When the new season opens, the two women are on the outs. Old secrets and new foes then force them back together, according to Netflix Tudum.
That split sets up the second run. It is an eight-episode drop, meaning all episodes land at once for viewers to watch at their own pace.
The cast list runs to 13 names for season two. Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez and Hunter Emery are included. Branton Box, Dale Dickey, Kim Matula, Cam Gigandet, Alex FitzAlan, John Stamos and basketball star Angel Reese also appear.
Behind the camera, the series was created by Rebecca Cutter. She is credited as showrunner, writer and executive producer, meaning she runs the writers' room and oversees creative decisions day to day. Lionsgate Television produces the series.
The story starts in print. It is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by May Cobb. The television version was originally developed for Starz, the US cable channel, before moving to Netflix.
Season one arrived with US viewing numbers behind it. The Hollywood Reporter reports it became the most-viewed streaming series in the US and spent six weeks in Nielsen's top 10 chart for streaming originals. Nielsen is the firm that tracks US television viewing.
The date matters. Nov. 26 is Thanksgiving Day in 2026, when many people are home and watching together. Netflix first flagged the return in September 2025 and shared first-look photos in August, with People also listing Nov. 26, 2026 as the premiere.
For fans, this means a short wait and more to come. Season two arrives in one go. Season three is already confirmed.
