Tuesday Labs Unveils Voxel, a Counter-Height Home Robot It Calls a "Droid Butler"

A New York robotics company has unveiled a home robot that can water your plants and sweep up crumbs. The robot is called Voxel Series-1, and its maker, Tuesday Labs, has put an estimated price of $20,000 on it.
Tuesday Labs introduced Voxel on 20 October 2026. The company calls the robot a "droid butler," and says it is built to take over small household chores. The Verge reported that people can reserve a unit for $200 now, while the full price is still an estimate.
Voxel is semi-autonomous. That means it can carry out some jobs on its own, using its built-in intelligence, while a human operator can also take control remotely when needed. The company calls that second mode teleoperation, meaning remote control by a person.
The robot stands at counter height. Most of its body is made of simple box-like shapes, and it has glowing LED eyes. Its hands are basic grippers with one degree of freedom, which means they open and close but do not bend or rotate like human fingers. It runs on a rechargeable battery and returns to an docking station at home to charge.
Voxel's starting skills are grouped under four names: Home Reset, Find, Fetch and Tend. Tuesday Labs' LinkedIn post lists these as the core functions the robot launches with.
The company was founded in 2025 by Rosalind Shinkle, who previously worked as an engineer at Boston Dynamics, the robotics firm known for its legged machines. Voxel was designed with Alonso Martinez, a former character designer at the animation studio Pixar. Tuesday Labs describes itself as a venture-backed robotics lab and design studio in New York City.
Reservation holders become members of what the company calls the Founding Series. According to the company's reservation terms, members may be invited to help shape Voxel for their own homes and to attend company gatherings. Each unit is individually numbered on the production line.
The company's homepage sums up its goal in a single line: "Your home cares for you back." Visitors can sign up there for lab updates and events. Limited reservations are open now, and the company has not said when deliveries will begin.
