Prince William Makes Surprise Guest Appearance on The Graham Norton Show

Prince William made a surprise appearance on The Graham Norton Show, becoming the first royal to sit on the chat show's sofa, according to Digital Spy. The episode was recorded on Thursday and was scheduled to air in the UK on Friday, 23 October.
The appearance was part of a special edition marking the Earthshot Prize, the environmental awards that William leads. Every guest that week is involved with the prize. BBC News reported the link between the episode and the prize. Alongside William on the sofa were actress Cate Blanchett, actress and singer Hannah Waddingham, and conservationist Robert Irwin. Singer Jorja Smith performed live before joining them.
Much of the conversation turned to screen entertainment. William said he is a big fan of director Christopher Nolan, and he described Nolan's Dark Knight films as psychologically dark and deep, according to Variety. He also said he is a fan of The Traitors, the reality game show in which a small group of secret "traitors" tries to outwit everyone else.
That fandom runs in the family, he said. William watches the show with his two youngest children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who he said are obsessed with it.
He also shared a few childhood ambitions. He said he wanted to be a policeman when he was younger, and later went through a phase of wanting to be a DJ. On the show, he acted as a judge when audience members came on stage to tell their funniest stories, a role that suited a guest keen to keep the mood light.
The appearance gives the Earthshot Prize a spot in a popular Friday-night chat show, which is what the special edition was built to do. The episode is scheduled to air on Friday, 23 October.
