The Seattle Seahawks beat the Kansas City Chiefs 20-3 on Sunday, 25 October, and then their social media accounts took aim at Taylor Swift.

The win ended the Chiefs' five-game winning streak. Kansas City had been undefeated this season before the loss. The Chiefs are the team of Travis Kelce, a tight end who is Swift's fiancé. Swift was not at the game, although she had attended every Kansas City home game so far this season, according to Billboard.

The Seahawks then posted a photo of their mascot, Blitz, in a glittery outfit. The caption was a lyric from Swift's song "Vigilante Shit": "Lately, I've been dressin' for revenge."

A second post, shared on X, showed friendship bracelets spelling out "Seahawks win." The caption was "End Game," the title of a single from Swift's album Reputation. Friendship bracelets are a big part of Swift's fan community, known as Swifties, who make and trade them at concerts and online. ESPN ranked the bracelet post at the top of its list of Week 7 NFL trolls.

Swift is a 14-time Grammy winner, and her connection to the NFL has been public for some time. Earlier this year, the Seahawks' behind-the-scenes series Hard Knocks showed Cooper Kupp reacting with surprise to an invitation to Swift and Kelce's wedding, according to the team's website.

On the field, Jaxon Smith-Njigba had 150 receiving yards and a touchdown, according to ESPN's game page. Receiving yards count the distance a player gains by catching passes, and a touchdown is worth six points.

For fans of both teams, the posts are a light-hearted exchange, and the score is the main thing the game settled. The Seahawks' Week 7 schedule had listed this matchup on the calendar since the season was announced, and the post-game social media posts went further than most teams do after a win.
