Three more actors are set to join Apple TV's thriller "Guilty Creatures" in recurring guest roles, Variety reported on 27 October 2026.

The newcomers are Brian d'Arcy James, Reed Birney and Gus Birney. A recurring guest star appears across several episodes without being part of the main cast. Variety broke the casting as an exclusive.

The series is based on Mikita Brottman's true crime book "Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida." Julia Garner leads the show. She is joined by Lewis Pullman, Maddie Hasson, Mary-Louise Parker and Gabriel Basso.

Apple first announced the project in July 2026. Its press release described a thriller that delves into the psyche of a torrid romance. Garner, an Emmy Award winner, is also an executive producer, meaning she helps oversee the show's making as well as acting in it. She does this through her company, Alma Margo.

Tomorrow Studios, a partner of ITV Studios, developed the series and brought it to Apple. Craig Gillespie is attached to direct and executive produce under his Fortunate Jack Productions banner. Sarah DeLappe is writing the series and also serves as an executive producer. Stuart Zicherman is the showrunner, the senior writer who runs the day-to-day work in the writers' room and on set. Stephanie Laing is an executive producer who will also direct.

For the people behind the camera, the list is a sign of how far the project has moved from a book deal to a full production team. Each guest role adds work for the casting department, the directors and the actors' own schedules. Variety's report did not say which characters the three actors will play, or when the series will arrive on Apple TV.

Apple has not yet given a release date, so viewers will need to wait for a platform announcement before they can plan a watch.
