Moulin Rouge! The Musical extends West End run to July 2027

Moulin Rouge! The Musical has extended its booking period at the Piccadilly Theatre until July 2027. The show is marking five years in London's West End in November, and WhatsOnStage reported the extension alongside new photos of the current company.
A booking period is the span of dates that tickets are on sale. Extending it tells audiences the production expects to keep playing well into next year, and it gives groups and visitors planning ahead a clearer window.
The current West End cast is led by Karis Anderson as Satine, with Alistair Brammer as Christian and James Doherty as Harold Zidler, the owner of the Moulin Rouge club. Daniel Fraser plays The Duke, and Richard Lloyd King plays Toulouse-Lautrec. New cast members joined the Piccadilly company from 12 October 2026, according to British Theatre. The new photos were credited to Matt Crockett and Mark Senior.
The musical is based on Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film. The stage version is directed by Alex Timbers, with a book by John Logan and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. The show's creators have not been named as part of the anniversary news beyond these credits, and the production has also planned a performance for fans to mark the anniversary.
Across its productions, Moulin Rouge! The Musical has played to more than 14 million audience members in 16 productions around the world, according to the WhatsOnStage report. A Hamburg production is due to open at Theater am Großmarkt in November 2026. A Sydney production is scheduled to open at The Sydney Lyric in March 2027. A production is also scheduled for Japan in 2027, and a World Tour is already playing, with more stops still to be announced.
For anyone thinking about a trip to the Piccadilly, Official London Theatre lists tickets from £27.39 and advertises savings of up to 29% on seats for the show. Prices and availability vary by performance.
The West End run now runs into the summer of 2027, and the cast and photos show a company that has changed over five years. The anniversary performance and the new overseas openings are the next dates on the calendar.
