Below Stays on Top as Nielsen's Streaming Chart Shows Crystal Lake and Ted Lasso Holding Ground

Netflix's Below was the most-watched title on Nielsen's streaming chart for Oct. 12-18, 2026, with 1.3 billion minutes of viewing in its second week. That is up from 1.19 billion the week before, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The figures count minutes, meaning the total time people spent watching, added together across every viewer. Nielsen's streaming ratings only cover viewing on TV sets in the U.S. Minutes watched on phones and computers are not included, so these totals are a partial picture.
Prime Video's Carrie series dropped to No. 2 with 1.08 billion minutes, down about 15 percent from the previous week. It had opened at No. 1 in Nielsen's chart for Oct. 5-11.
The Diplomat, in its fourth season, premiered on Oct. 15 and led the week's new releases with 983 million minutes.
Peacock's Crystal Lake, a prequel to the Friday the 13th films, also premiered on Oct. 15. For the week of Oct. 12-18, it reached the top five of Nielsen's original series chart with 774 million minutes. Its total was 1.3 billion minutes over its first 11 days, according to Deadline.
Apple TV's Ted Lasso logged 546 million minutes for the same week. It stayed in the top 10 of the platform's original series a week after its season finale.
On the film side, Ben Affleck's Animals held the No. 1 spot on Nielsen's movie chart for a second week, with 756 million minutes. Disney+ listed Hocus Pocus fifth among films with 209 million minutes. The Nightmare Before Christmas, also on Disney+, ranked seventh with 173 million.
Netflix's Love Is Blind returned to the rankings with 600 million minutes. It tied with East of Eden for the same total.
Each of these numbers covers one week, measured the same way. Put side by side, they show where viewers' time went in the U.S. on TV sets during mid-October.
