Chase Sui Wonders is in talks to join Goblin, a new A24 comedy from David Mikalson, Deadline reported on 29 October 2026. Talks are not a signed deal, so her part is not yet confirmed.

The film is described as a raunchy comedy in the vein of Ted and E.T., which means a crude, adult sense of humour mixed with a story about a creature. Dread Central has called it an R-rated puppet film, meaning audiences under 17 need an adult with them in the United States.

Kenneth Branagh voices the title character, the Goblin. Skyler Gisondo and Will Forte are also in the cast, according to Deadline. Production is set to begin before the end of 2026.

Wonders is best known to TV viewers as Quinn Hackett, an assistant who becomes an executive in Apple's The Studio. That role earned her a Gotham TV Award nomination, Deadline notes. Her work on the show has drawn attention from several studios in recent months.

Her schedule is already full. She is in production on Naughty, a holiday comedy for Universal, directed by Olivia Wilde. She works alongside Jennifer Aniston, Peter Dinklage and Ike Barinholz on the film.

She also appears in Slayground, an action thriller that A24 will release on 29 January 2027. Jeremy Saulnier wrote and directed it. Deadline reports that the film is due out in January, a quiet month for big releases, and early in the year for a film with a strong cast.

For the studio, the pattern is clear. A24 has lined up several projects with Wonders, and Goblin would add a new title to that list. Whether the talks close is a matter for the coming weeks.

Wonders' path is also a reminder of how these jobs come together. Casting usually starts with a script, then moves through agents, producers and the studio. Each step can take months, and a deal can stall at any point before a contract is signed.

Production on Goblin is expected to start before 2027. Until contracts are signed and the studio confirms the cast, the film's roster remains a list of reports.
