Powderfinger has added nine concerts to its 2027 reunion tour, stretching the Australian run into December 2027. The band announced the extra dates, which it calls the Encore Run, on Friday morning, Oct. 30, according to Billboard. With the additions, the national tour now totals 35 dates.

The new shows are spread across five cities. Melbourne Park Oval gets two more nights, on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6. Cornelian Bay Oval in Hobart hosts two shows, on Nov. 13 and Nov. 14. Stage 88 in Canberra stages one concert on Saturday, Dec. 4, and Sandalford Estate in Perth adds two concerts, on Nov. 20 and Nov. 21.

The tour finishes in Brisbane. The band's website lists two concerts at the Brisbane Showgrounds, on Friday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 11, both held outdoors. The Encore Run ends there.

The reunion lineup is Bernard Fanning, Ian Haug, Darren Middleton, John "JC" Collins and Jon Coghill. The 2027 tour is the band's first in 17 years. Its first batch of 26 shows, representing more than 300,000 tickets, sold out within days, Billboard reported.

Tickets for the Encore Run go on sale in two stages. A presale opens on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 10am local time through powderfinger.com. General sales start on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 11am local time, and both stages run until each show's allocation is gone.

The tour will also partner with Mission Australia, the community charity. The band has not, in the material published so far, detailed what the partnership will involve beyond the announcement itself.

Earlier dates from the same run of shows have already sold out. The band's website marks its September and October 2027 shows as sold out, including six Brisbane Showgrounds nights, two at Cazalys Stadium in Cairns, three at Wellington Square in Perth, one at The Domain in Sydney and others. Those dates are separate from the Encore Run.

For anyone hoping to see the band in 2027, the practical step is to check powderfinger.com ahead of the Nov. 4 presale. Each city's dates and venues are listed there, and the site notes that tickets are released only until allocation runs out.
