Days Gone Developer Bend Studio Reportedly Plans 2027 Release for Next Game
Bend Studio, the team behind Days Gone, is reportedly planning to release its next game in 2027. The claim comes from a report by MP1st, which cited people said to be aware of the project. Video Games Chronicle relayed the report on 2 November 2026.
Bend Studio is a first-party team, which means it is owned by PlayStation's parent company, Sony, and builds games for PlayStation. The studio says it has 30 years of experience and is based at the foot of Oregon's Cascade Mountains. Its best-known work is Days Gone, an open-world action-adventure released in 2019. It is still the studio's most recent game.
According to the report, the new game is "much further along in development" than some people may expect. The report also says it is a PS5 game. Push Square carried a similar account a day earlier, saying the studio may reveal the game and possibly even release it in 2027.
The details in the report are specific. It says the game will not be a sequel to Days Gone, so fans waiting for a follow-up should not expect one.
