Lili Taylor has been set as a series regular for Season 2 of The Beast In Me, Netflix's psychological crime thriller. A series regular is an actor booked for the main cast across the whole season, not a one-off guest. Deadline reported the casting on 3 November 2026.

Taylor will play Fiona, the stepmother of Aggie Wiggs. Claire Danes returns as Aggie, an author, and John Goodman plays Aggie's father, who is believed to be a con artist. The three actors will share much of the season's screen time, so the new season is built around that family tangle.

Netflix confirmed on 28 October that the show will return for a second season. Netflix Tudum The series was created by Gabe Rotter. Howard Gordon and Daniel Pearle are returning as co-showrunners, the writers who oversee the show day to day. 20th Television is the studio behind Season 2.

Taylor is a three-time Emmy nominee. She recently played Governor Marge McCaffrey in a recurring role on Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again. She is also set to appear as Mags Flanagan in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

The first season has already earned awards attention. Claire Danes received a 2026 Emmy nomination for her work on the show. An episode titled "Elephant In The Room" was listed in the costume design category at the Creative Arts Emmys. Julie Tucker, who cast Season 1, received a nomination from the Casting Society's Artios Awards.

For viewers, the news means a bigger ensemble and a family story that carries into a second round. Taylor's casting adds a new character to a story that already centres on a daughter, a father with a hidden past, and a stepmother who has yet to be fully seen. Netflix has not yet given a premiere date, so the wait continues.

Season 1 is already on Netflix for anyone who wants to catch up before the new episodes arrive.
