Booboo Stewart, Milo Hutton and KaDee Strickland have joined the cast of 'The Thing in the Hall', a psychological horror thriller now shooting in Los Angeles. Deadline reported the casting on 3 November 2026.

The film is a horror thriller that works on fear inside its characters' minds, rather than relying only on sudden scares. It is inspired by a short story by E. F. Benson, the English writer of ghost and supernatural fiction.

Stewart plays Francis Assheton, a psychology graduate student who moves into the isolated home of his friend Louis Fielder. Hutton plays Louis Fielder. Strickland plays Claire Winter, a lawyer for the defence who looks into Francis's account after a fatal incident.

The project is the first feature from writer-director Logan Kishi. Kishi's company, Darkbox Entertainment, is producing the film. Deadline's report describes the three new cast members as joining an already shooting production, so the casting arrives while the cameras are running.

For a general viewer, the cast list shows how a film comes together. A director writes and shapes the story, a producer's company handles the practical work of making it, and actors are added in stages as the schedule moves on. Each of those steps is a decision made by a person, and this one has now added three names to the list.
