Jimmy Akingbola Signs with Paradigm After Bel-Air Run

Actor Jimmy Akingbola has signed with Paradigm, a talent agency, Deadline reported on 3 November 2026. Representation means an agency finds and pitches an actor for roles and handles the business side of their contracts.
Many viewers know Akingbola as Geoffrey Thompson, the house manager for the Banks family in Bel-Air. He appeared in 38 episodes of the series, which reimagines the 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In the original, Joseph Marcell played Geoffrey. The new version is a Peacock series produced by Universal Television.
Akingbola's wider screen work is varied. He played DC Steve Bradshaw in ITV's crime thriller The Tower, and Valentine in season 3 of In The Long Run. He also appeared in Most Dangerous Game for the short-lived streaming service Quibi, alongside Christoph Waltz and Liam Hemsworth. His other credits include Apple TV's Ted Lasso and The CW's Arrow.
His next role is already announced. He will appear in First Woman, a space mystery drama from the UK's ITV and Germany's ZDF, a public broadcaster.
According to Deadline, Akingbola will stay with Anonymous Content, B-Side Management and Peikoff Mahan. Adding Paradigm means he now has several representatives working for him at once.
Bel-Air has more cast news in the pipeline. Deadline reported in October 2025 that Janet Hubert will guest-star in season 4. Caroline Chikezie is also joining that season as Dominique Warren, the leader of Geoffrey's former London gang. Deadline describes Dominique as being like a sister to him, which ties her storyline closely to the character Akingbola plays.
For fans, the signing is a reminder that a long-running role often leads to more work. Akingbola's name now sits alongside a new agency, and his next project is already on the calendar.
