Tickets for the Season 20 premiere of Jet Lag: The Game go on sale today, 5 November, for a 90-minute screening in cinemas on 5 December, Variety reports.

The season is called Hide + Seek: Italy. It follows a six-day game of hide-and-seek across Italy, and the premiere is the first episode-length look at it on the big screen. The show is streamed on Nebula, and the cinema event is the result of a wider deal between Nebula and Regal Global Entertainment, announced in September to bring the series to cinemas.

The screening will run in more than 160 theatre screens across the U.S., the U.K. and Canada. Regal, Picturehouse, Cineworld and Landmark Cinemas are the theatre partners. Variety describes it as the largest international theatrical release for the show so far.

The format is getting a change this season too. Variety says the show's "Expert Mode" removes some of the game's most powerful questions and adds new mechanics that penalise the seekers when they make mistakes. In other words, the hiders get a little more room to hide.

The cinema route is not new for the series. The Season 19 premiere, Japanorama, screened in August at Picturehouse Cinemas in London. The Season 19 finale followed in October, shown across Regal, Picturehouse and Cineworld locations on 3 October, according to Variety.

Ticket prices are set by each cinema. Nebula's own FAQ says they tend to match typical film prices, around £20 in the U.K. Listings on Regal's website already show the Season 20 event, including a 1-hour 30-minute runtime for a Saturday screening at Regal Majestic, which is the day the premiere is due.

For viewers, the practical question is simple: book a seat for 5 December or wait for the season to arrive on Nebula. Those who go to the cinema will get the premiere on the big screen before anyone else sees it at home.
