Ari Stidham Joins Reacher for Season 5 as Dean Lassider

Ari Stidham has joined the cast of Reacher for Season 5, Deadline reported on 5 November 2026. He will play Dean Lassider in a recurring role, meaning he returns across several episodes rather than appearing in every one.
Deadline describes Lassider as a sleazy businessman and a long-time associate of Nokes. Kevin Durand plays Nokes. Lassider runs his shady operations out of a desert strip club, and the character gives Season 5 a new figure in the criminal world around the show's hero.
The series is based on Lee Child's bestselling Jack Reacher novels. Season 5 adapts the 20th book in the series, Make Me. The new season's logline has Reacher teaming up with a private investigator in Mother's Rest to search for a missing person. Mother's Rest is the town at the centre of the story.
Other stars named in the report include Amanda Ip, Jay Baruchel, Ciara Bravo and Durand. The show is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, which means two big studios share the production.
The show's audience is large. Deadline reported that Season 4 reached 66 million viewers globally in its first 28 days on Prime Video, the streaming service where the series is available. Viewing figures like this are a platform's own count of people who watched, so they are not directly comparable with TV ratings from the past.
For viewers, the news is simple. Season 5 is now taking shape, with a cast that includes a new villain-adjacent character and a plot built on a missing person case. Casting announcements like this one often arrive months before a premiere date.
Stidham's casting is a small step, but it shows how a show gets built. Each new name is a contract, a set of costume fittings and a few weeks of work on a set. Those jobs are what a casting announcement sets in motion.
