Amazon Prime Video has confirmed four new cast members for the fifth season of Reacher: Amanda Ip, Jay Baruchel, Ciara Bravo and Kevin Durand. All four will star opposite Alan Ritchson, who plays the title character — the wandering ex-military investigator at the centre of the series. The announcement was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter on 29 July 2026, using information confirmed by Amazon Prime Video, and separately covered the same day by Deadline.

Season five will adapt Make Me, the twentieth novel in Lee Child's Jack Reacher series. In the story, Reacher's train stops in a mysterious town called Mother's Rest. There he teams up with a private investigator to search for a missing person and uncovers a deadly criminal conspiracy.

Each of the four new additions has a named role. Amanda Ip plays Michelle Chang. Jay Baruchel plays Chief Buck Bauer. Ciara Bravo plays Eunice. Kevin Durand plays Nokes. Amazon MGM Studios also posted the cast announcement on its official Facebook page, naming all four actors.

Ip is a Canadian actor whose credits include a recurring role as Carmen on CTV's medical drama Transplant. Baruchel is widely known from film and television comedy, including the How to Train Your Dragon franchise and This Is the End. Bravo's previous work includes Big Time Rush and The Red Road. Durand's screen roles span Lost, The Strain and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Reacher is executive produced and showrun by Nick Santora, with production handled by Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios. The series has been a consistent performer for Prime Video since its 2022 debut, adapting Child's novels one book per season.

Season four, which arrives before season five, is set to premiere on 12 August 2025 on Amazon Prime Video. The fifth season does not yet have a release date.

For fans, the Make Me adaptation brings one of the more atmospheric novels in Child's catalogue to the screen. Mother's Rest is a town that hides its secrets well, and the private-investigator partnership at the centre of the story gives the new cast room to share scenes with Ritchson rather than orbit around him.
